Not musicians. Not critics. Just fanatics.
We are not musicians. We don’t pretend to be. Sure we play a little guitar with friends, but it’s not what we do for a living. We’re not experts either. We don’t work for a record company, have never produced anything or managed a band. We are just pure music fanatics. We eat, sleep, and breathe it. We listen every chance we get. We go to every show that comes to town. We still buy CD’s (remember those?) but we do have Spotify too. We talk about it every chance we get. Unfortunately not everyone likes to talk about it with us. So we started this site so we can talk about it with you fine folks. You won’t find us using fancy musical terms like “6/8 time signature” or “Whole-tone scale”. For example, our album reviews sound more like a conversation between friends than a dissection of the recording technique used.
We’ve been music fanatics since an early age. We’ve been to over 300 shows. We’ve played guitar and drums. We have friends in bands and friends in the music industry and we hope to have them contribute from time to time. We may not be musicians, but we are very well informed music fanatics. If you love music and simply love to talk about it, this is the site for you.
You’re mostly gonna get a heavy dose of rock on this site. We like it hard and we like it loud. But we also have an appreciation for a lot of folk rock and the blues, since they started it all. Our main goal is to introduce our readers to new music. We are constantly scouring the internet for new bands, and we’d like to share them with you. But we also touch on many other topics including show reviews, album reviews, videos, classic shows, classic albums, the music industry, and much more. We also spend some time making fun of how awful modern pop music is. If you’re like us, you’ll enjoy those posts.
Bottom line: This site is like talking to a friend about the music you love.
